I won tickets to see Vance Joy and Tom Odell a couple years ago, and it was one of my favorite show experiences. I didn’t know who either of them were at the time so it was kind of a crap shoot. Boy was I happy when they both turned out to be amazing! I love them.

No one seemed to know who he was, which I couldn’t fault them for because really… I didn’t know either. This gave me an opportunity to meet him easily. After Vance’s set I spotted him by the merch table and got a chance to to talk to him a bit and also buy a copy of his EP. Genuinely nice guy with talent (great cd). Fast forward a couple of years and that same guy is now headlining The Showbox and his song Riptide is everywhere. Do yourself a favor and take a chance on him. He’s worth it.
